PSA Working in Washington State on Adoption of IFC Requirements

I am happy to report that he PSA Board of Directors recently approved a contract proposal from our consultant, Manny Muniz, to provide code consulting services regarding the Washington State Building Code Council consideration of adopting International Fire Code requirements for luminous egress path markings in existing high rise buildings.

As this situation progresses we’ll provide updates. We will also report on this and other code issues at our annual meeting. If you have not registered, please remember to do so before the August 17 early bird deadline. You’ll find the registration form on the Members Only website. Only members may attend this meeting. PSA: Membership Renewal–Have You Mailed Your Dues?

A reminder that membership dues are due now. If you have not yet mailed your check, please take 10 minutes now to do so. Also, remember also to register for  our 2012 Annual Conference, which will be held September 18 at the Renaissance Chicago O’Hare Suite Hotel.

This year the renewal form and the conference registration form are posted on the Members Only website. To download these documents, go to our website (www.plsafety.org) and log in. You’ll see the membership form under the heading “2012-2013 Membership Renewal.” If you also need an invoice, please notify Executive Director Bob McLean by sending an email to bmclean@plsafety.org. You’ll see the conference registration form under the heading “2012 Annual Conference Registration Form.”

PSA 2012 Annual Conferenece Scheduled for September 18 in Chicago

News Release #12-1

Arlington, VA, July 20, 2012— The Photoluminescent Safety Association will hold its seventh annual conference and annual business meeting on Tuesday, September 18, at the Renaissance Chicago O’Hare Suites Hotel. The one-day event is open only to PSA members.

The business meeting will be devoted primarily to determining the association’s strategic direction for the coming year.

During the annual conference the PSA will also holds its annual business meeting. The members will be asked to consider other issues affecting the association’s strategic direction and will vote to elect three members of the Board of Directors.

The registration fee for the one-day conference is $200 until August 17, $250 after that date. The registrations form is available on the Members Only website.

Hotel reservations may be made directly with the hotel by phone (773-380-9600) or on the web (www.renaissanceohare.com).

The PSA is dedicated to generating broad-based acceptance of safety-grade photoluminescent products. Photoluminescent products improve safety through such products as exit signs, low-located egress pathway marking systems, and general safety signage.
